AFROC (Air Force Retired Officers Community) Membership

AFROC was formed in 1984 by a group of retired Air Force officers who dreamed of creating a premier military Life Plan Community, also known as a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), in Northern Virginia, near Washington, D.C. Our AFROC membership is now over 1200 strong, including both Falcons Landing residents and those who plan to make it their home in the future.

Eligibility

Independent Living at Falcons Landing has traditionally been offered to officers, senior-level federal employees GS14 and above, their spouse, or surviving spouse. Falcons Landing is excited to share that we have now extended our eligibility to independent living to include all qualified former military personnel and qualified former government employees. Special exceptions will be considered by the Board of Directors, on a case-by-case basis to any person and/or his/her lawful spouse, who has had a significant special relationship with the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers or other government agencies associated with the national defense community.

For those looking for a higher level of care, to include long-term care nursing, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, assisted living or memory care, we are open to the general public. No military or government background is required.
