Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Exempt
This position assumes the responsibility for total education/infection control compliance for all level of nursing in LTC and Assisted Living.
- - Must have excellent staff development and infection control experience
- - Must exhibit strong managerial and leadership ability; significant experience organizing and preparing required and innovative education and infection control programs.
- - Must be available to work various shifts to ensure all staff members are receiving the required learning and development tools
- - A minimum of 2 years experience as a staff development and infection control coordinator required; experience in LTC/ALF. Currently licensed in the state as RN; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- - High School Diploma or equivalent
- - Basic computer skills required.
- - Excellent problem-solving abilities
- - Have the ability to work in fast-paced environments and work well under pressure
- - Excellent written/verbal communication and customer service skills
- - Must have experience in staffing, payroll and billing.
- - Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- - Ability to work independently
- - Experience in unit clerk position and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- - Must have a current valid driver’s license.
- - Must be able to work with minimal supervision and lead by example.
- - Must be able to handle emergency situations in a professional and timely manner.
- - must have a minimum of 2 years experience in kitchen, knowledge of soups, sautés, grill and cold preparation
- - Banquet experience desired
- - ability to communicate effectively
- - Must have a minimum of two years nursing experience including one year Charge Nurse experience
- - Must hold a current RN license to practice inVirginia
- - License must be in good standing with the Department of health Professionals
- - Ability to communicate effectively
- - Experience in Long Term Care and Assisted Living a plus
- - must have a minimum of two years nursing experience with one year in long-term care
- - must hold a current LPN license to practice in Virginia
- - ability to communicate effectively
- - Must have a one to three months related experience and/or training experience in Long-Term Care, Assisted Living is a plus;
- - Must hold a current C.N.A license to practice in Virginia or a proof of completion
